We
ALEXANDER I
by the Grace of God and the Will of the People
KING OF SERBIA
based upon the Law on Order of Milosh the Great of the 17th December 1898 and the recommendation of the Chancellor of Royal Orders, and based on the Art. 6 of the Law on Orders and Medals, pass the following
DECREE ON DESIGN OF INSIGNIA OF
THE ROYAL ORDER OF MILOSH THE GREAT
Badge of the Order of Milosh the Great consists of Medallion and Crown.
The medallion the first, second and third class shall be 45 mm high and 33 mm wide and the Crown shall be 27 mm long and 17 mm high. The medallion of the fourth class shall be 40 mm high and 30 mm wide.
The medallion is of oval shape.
The obverse is charged with the portrait of Prince Milosh the Great in enamel, within the border. Upon the blue enamelled ring surrounding the portrait and border ar are superimposed oak branches representing Oak of Takovo wreath of oxydized silver. Under the portrait, a double headed eagle in gold, wings displayed, is placed so that part of the portrait and wreath are hidden behind it; the eagle bears upon its breast an escutcheon enamelled red with a white cross between four fire-steels of gold. The eagle, executed in relief, bears in its claws a ribbon inscribed "ЦВЕТИ - 1815" ("PALM SUNDAY - 1815"). The ribbon is enamelled white and bordered gold. Surmounting the portrait, between the branches of the oak wreath, and extending beyond its border, the cypher "M" (standing for "Milosh") in high relief is placed. Upon the right and left part of the cypher "M", a royal fleur-de-lys is superimposed. Between the top points of the cyper "M" is a cross-life flower. The entire medallion (except for enamelled or silver parts) is made of gold and has an additional raised border.
